Poona Round Table India and ITC Ltd. Begin Construction Of New Classrooms in Ranjangaon
Pune, 17 June 2024:** Poona Riverside Round Table 105 (PRRT105) hosted a bhoomipoojan ceremony for the construction of two new classrooms at Phandvasti, Ranjangaon. The project is in collaboration with ITC Ltd. through their CSR funds and aims to provide quality education to an additional 100 students each year.
The ceremony was attended by PRRT105 Chairman Paresh Lodha, Secretary Yash Choudhry, ITC Ltd. CSR Fund Manager Munesh Saxena, elected female Sarpanch Suvarna Dnyaneshwar Vayadande, Deputy Sarpanch Shrikant Pachundkar Patil, Gram Panchayat member Ashok Dolke, and several other local dignitaries. The School Management Committee, including President Tushar Kute and Vice President Subhash Fund, also participated along with teachers, students, and villagers.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹31 lakhs. In addition to the construction, PRRT105 distributed art kits to 50 students to encourage their creative development.
Under the Freedom Through Education (FTE) initiative, Round Table India has built more than 8,000 classrooms across the country.
