The Pune Municipal Corporation along with the Department of Garden and Trees Authority and the Rose Society, Pune have initiated the 42nd Fruits and Vegetables competition which is going to be held on Saturday, 10th February and Sunday, 11th February, 2024 at Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Udyan, Jangali Maharaj Road, ShivajiNagar, Pune on the occasion of the Anniversary of Pune.
The exhibition is free of cost and will have stalls selling flowers, fruits, tree seedlings, gardening materials, seeds and fertilizers from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
Municipal Corporation. Hon. Vikas Kumar, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, Pune will be felicitated on Saturday, 10th February, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
This exhibition will also have Bonsai, wood sculpture, feature Gargen, paper craft, different types of floral arrangements, etc. Concept for planting Vasundhara tree, saving frees and maximum use of bicycles will also be promoted in this exhibition.
Different types of Dahlia, Orchid, Gerbera, rose, Carnation, seasonal as well as perennial flowers are the main attraction of this exhibition.
The prize distribution ceremony of the winners who participated in various competition will be held on Sunday, 11th February, 2024
This exhibition is being initiated by the Pune Municipal Corporation with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of trees and plants in human life and are expected to have plethora of visitors.
