Pune : Action against illegal transportation and storage of gas cylinders; goods over Rs 35 lakh seized
The Foodgrains Distribution Office Pune on Wednesday (31st January) conducted raid at More Vasti, Chikhali, Pimpri Chinchwad and took action against Mama Gas Service Agency in connection with illegal storage and transportation of gas cylinders and confiscated goods worth Rs 35 lakh 73 thousand 545. Foodgrain Distribution Officer Dadasaheb Gite gave this information.
As per further information, in this operation, 4 big vehicles, 105 gas filled cylinders and 602 empty cylinders of Hindustan Petroleum Company have been seized. Accused Bhikchand Hiralal Katre has been detained.
A case has been registered against Bhikchand Katre under Sections 420, 285, 286 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with Sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities Act 1955 and Sections 3 to 7 of the Liquified Petroleum Gas (regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order 2000.
Dadasaheb Gite has informed that this action has been taken by Officer Sachin Kale, Supply Inspector Snehal Gaikwad, Amol Hade, Police Sub-Inspector Dattatray More etc.
