Bramha Skyone Co-operative Housing Society in Undri has commissioned a 28 kW solar power plant, marking a strong step toward cleaner energy and sustainable community living. The system was inaugurated on Saturday by chief guest Sachin Ghule, with residents and committee members in attendance.
The project was led by Society Chairman Abrar Shaha, Secretary Mohammed Sohel, Treasurer Usman Shaikh, and the management committee. Their joint effort aimed at lowering energy dependence and adopting practical renewable solutions for the society.
Speaking at the event, Ghule appreciated the society’s initiative and said such projects set a positive example for neighbouring communities. He also mentioned that more infrastructure upgrades are planned for the area, encouraging residential clusters to shift toward cleaner alternatives.
Chairman Abrar Shaha thanked residents for supporting the move. He said the new setup is expected to generate close to 36,000 kWh every year. According to him, the financial savings are welcome, but the bigger achievement is the long-term environmental benefit.
With the new installation, Bramha Skyone has reinforced its focus on sustainability. The project shows how collective local action can reduce carbon emissions and push communities closer to a greener future.
