Pune : Criminals Use Nalas and Canals In Khadki, Bopodi Area For Robbery Attempt : Four Suspects Apprehended

PUNE: On the 9th of October 2023, Police Sub-Inspector Patil from the Crime Branch, Unit-04, and Senior Police Inspector Ganesh Mane apprehended four individuals while conducting crime prevention patrolling within the jurisdiction of Khadki police station. 

The detention took place near Mhsoba Mandira, close to the small railway tunnel, along the road leading from Rangehills to Khadki police station, under the guidance of Inspector Ganesh Mane.

The accused have been identified as Mukesh Gyansingh Bhuria, Sunil Kamal Singh Alawa, Harsingh Walsingh Osnia, Sundar Singh Bhayan Singh Bhuria. All the accused are residents of Madhya Pradesh. 

Upon searching the accused, the unit-4 team discovered cash, gold and silver ornaments, as well as burglary tools such as an iron hacksaw, screwdriver, iron crowbar, iron-cutter, and sling, with a total value of Rs. 8,84,830/-.

During the investigation, the accused individuals confessed to committing burglaries in the areas of Yerwada, Dhanori, Khadki, Vishrantwadi, and Kondhwa during the months of April, May, September, and October, after having arrived in Pune.

The accused have been involved in a number of criminal activities, as evidenced by the following police reports: These crimes, which fall under sections 454, 457, and 380, have been brought to light and the accused and seized items have been handed over to Khadki Police Station for further action. It has been discovered that the accused have been traveling to Pune with weapons necessary for burglary, as well as deadly weapons and slings for pelting stones. 

During the day, they reside in areas such as rivers, canals, and thick bushes. At night, some of the accused venture out to commit burglary and theft. They typically target neighboring apartments or bungalow societies, gaining entry by breaking open doors and windows.

Similar crimes have been committed by the accused in various apartments in Bhau Patil Road, Bopodi Khadki area, causing fear among the local citizens. 

In accordance with the orders of senior police officers, the accused have been apprehended by the team of Crime Branch Unit 4.
