PUNE: Despite an early immersion procession of the five revered Ganpatis in Pune, the other prominent Ganesh mandals in the city are still awaiting their turn on Tilak Road and Laxmi Road.

However, despite the early immersion of Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati, the processions are still ongoing on Friday. It is worthy to note that the police administration had allocated specific time slots for each Ganesh mandal to proceed with their dhol tasha Pathak (musical groups) during the processions, to ensure an early end to the immersion this year. However, significant queues were seen on Laxmi Road and Tilak Road. It is expected that the processions will continue into the afternoon.

According to the provided information, this unforeseen delay in the immersion process has extended to Friday. This year, Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandal has achieved a remarkable feat by swiftly concluding their immersion. Their procession commenced at 4 PM and concluded at 8:50 PM. The decision to expedite the immersion was made in response to requests from the police administration.
