Pune, India is gearing up to host the inaugural workers’ assembly of the INDIA bloc, comprising leaders from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Congress, and Shiv Sena, on February 24th. This historic event will see workers from four Lok Sabha constituencies—Pune, Baramati, Shirur, and Maval—converge at Congress Bhavan for a momentous gathering.

The INDIA bloc’s first workers’ melawa (gathering) promises to be a pivotal moment, with stalwarts such as Sharad Pawar from NCP, Nana Patole from Congress, and Aaditya Thackeray from Shiv Sena set to address the enthusiastic crowd.

“The first joint meeting of the INDIA front will take place in Pune, where leaders from all participating parties will engage directly with the workers,” stated Arvind Shinde, President of Congress city unit, along with Prashant Jagtap, President of NCP’s city unit, and Gajanan Tharkude, representing Shiv Sena.

Adding to the significance of the event, newly elected MP Chandrakant Handore and Shirur MP Amol Kolhe are expected to attend, further amplifying the voice of the workers and their aspirations within the MVA alliance.
