Pune: Fort Making Competition Brings History Alive At Callisto Society In Wakad
Wakad, October 21, 2025: The Festival Committee of Callisto Society, Wakad, successfully organised its third annual *Fort Making Competition, celebrating Maharashtra’s rich heritage and the creative spirit of young residents. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response from children who showcased their skills by constructing miniature replicas of iconic forts such as *Janjira, Rajgad, Lohgad, and Pratapgad.
To enhance the learning experience, the society invited experts from the *IINSPARK organization, who conducted a special *Killa Making Workshop. The session introduced participants to the fundamentals of fort construction, from design and structure to the historical significance of these majestic monuments.
Over three days, children worked diligently to build their forts, demonstrating teamwork, imagination, and cultural pride. The final day featured a competition judged on multiple criteria, including creativity, craftsmanship, and historical accuracy.
The winners were honoured with cash prizes, recognizing their hard work and artistic talent. The event not only encouraged children to engage with Maharashtra’s history but also fostered a sense of community and festive spirit within the society.
