Pune: IT Employees’ Forum Files Police Complaint Over Alleged Job Fraud Racket, Freshers Claim Losses of ₹1–3 Lakh Each
Pune | February 21, 2026: The Forum for IT Employees (FITE) has lodged formal complaints at the Viman Nagar Police Station against Quantamsoft Technology, alleging that the company collected large sums of money from fresh graduates on the false promise of employment.
According to multiple complainants, Quantamsoft Technology allegedly operated without active clients or ongoing projects, running what has been described as a “Ponzi-style job scheme.” Freshers reportedly paid amounts ranging between ₹1 lakh and ₹3 lakh for job placements, but were later left without projects, salaries, or sustained employment, eventually facing termination.
The forum stated that the alleged modus operandi closely resembles previous job fraud cases, including the widely reported Flynaut SaaS incident, where several candidates suffered financial and career setbacks after paying for promised jobs that never materialised.
Representatives of FITE met ACP Pranjal Sonawane, who assured prompt action and stated that the company’s owners and associated consultants would be summoned for inquiry. The forum also held discussions with DCP Soumya Munde, who requested detailed documentation, including separate formal complaints for each suspected fraudulent company. These submissions are expected to be provided shortly.
The forum further informed police authorities that several other companies and consultants suspected of running similar job scams have also been reported, with supporting documents and evidence already shared with law enforcement agencies.
FITE warned that such fraudulent schemes are impacting thousands of aspiring professionals, with some companies allegedly targeting over 1,000 job seekers each. Beyond financial losses, the scams are causing severe long-term damage to careers and the mental well-being of fresh graduates.
The Forum for IT Employees has urged the state government and concerned authorities to take strict and immediate action against such job fraud networks and to introduce stronger safeguards to protect freshers from exploitation.
The coordination of complaints and police liaison was carried out by FITE team members Prashant Pandit, Saurabh Kulkarni, and Pavanjit Mane, in collaboration with affected employees and the police department.
