In a shocking incident, Ravi Karnani, an IT engineer from Susgaon, Pune, has alleged that he and his family were attacked by a mob of around 40 people while traveling on Lavale-Nande Road on September 29. Karnani posted a video of the assault on social media, which has since gone viral, raising concerns about road safety in the region.

The video, shared on the platform “X,” reveals the damage to his car and shows the mob, armed with sticks, rods, and stones, chasing and attacking his vehicle. Karnani claims the group targeted them due to their vehicle’s non-local registration and suspects the involvement of a local gang notorious for such attacks.
Despite the violent nature of the incident, Karnani alleges that local police, who were patrolling nearby, did not intervene and appeared to side with the attackers. The mob reportedly tried to forcefully stop Karnani’s car, and when he refused, two motorcyclists damaged the vehicle, with more assailants joining in shortly after.
Following Karnani’s complaint, the Paud Police registered a case against unknown individuals and have launched an investigation into the attack. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many questioning the law and order situation in the area and the alleged police inaction. Further updates on the investigation are awaited.
