Pune Metro completes trial run from Phugewadi Station to Civil Court, Civil Court to Vanaz

After the completion of metro work, the traffic problem in the city will be reduced.

The Pune Metro on January 2 conducted its first trial from Phugewadi station to civil court and civil court to vanaz station covering a distance of 8 kilometres and 7 km respectively.

The metro will soon be connecting the cities Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. After the completion of metro work, the traffic problem in the city will be reduced.

Metro routes between Pimpri to Phugewadi and Garware College to Vanaz was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 6, 2022 after which the metro work has picked up pace. More than  85 percent of metro work has been completed and the remaining work will be finished soon. 

Brijesh Dixit, Managing Director of Maha Metro has claimed that 90 to 95 percent of Maha Metro work has been completed between Phugewadi to Pune Civil Court and Civil Court to Garware College. Pune Metro will soon become full-fledged operational in the city.
