Pune Metro Extends Service Hours During Ganeshotsav
Pune, September 6, 2024: Ganeshotsav in Pune witness thousands of citizens gathering in the heart of the city to visit Ganesha mandals. To accommodate the increased footfall and ensure smooth transportation during this festive period, Pune Metro will extend its passenger service hours until midnight throughout Ganeshotsav and the frequency shall be increased too.
From 7th to 9th September 2024, Metro services will operate from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
From 10th to 16th September 2024, Metro services will extend further, running from 6:00 AM to 12:00 midnight.
On Anant Chaturdashi, 17th September 2024, the Metro will run continuously for 24 hours, from 6:00 AM on 17th September to 6:00 AM on 18th September.
In addition to the extended hours, Pune Metro urges passengers to use digital ticketing options—such as the Pune Metro mobile app and WhatsApp ticketing—to avoid long queues and reduce crowding at ticket counters. By using digital ticketing, commuters can enjoy a faster, hassle-free experience during the festive rush.
