Pune Metro invites bids for retail business spaces on 38 spaces ; Check details

Pune: In an exciting opportunity for small business owners, retailers and entrepreneurs to establish their presence within metro station premises, the Pune Metro Rail project has started the retail licensing process providing businesses with a great opportunity to secure commercial space within the metro area.
As per information, licensing of Retail Business Spaces having an area of less than 100 sq meters will happen at select metro stations of Corridor-1 and Corridor-2 of the Pune Metro Rail Project for a period of 9 years. Pune Metro has invited tenders on the official website of Pune Metro for issuing licenses for retail business premises.

The metro rail project consists of two lines: North-South Line (Purple Line) and East-West Line (Aqua Line). The total length of the metro project is 33.2 km and consists of 30 stations. The project has an elevated section of 27.2 km and an underground section of 6 km. On March 6, 2022, the project was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. At that time 10 stations were officially opened for travel.
Subsequently, on August 1, 2023, several more stations were inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India.
