MP Shrirang Barne has announced significant infrastructure developments and improvements in the railway sector for the Lok Sabha constituency Maval. One of the notable accomplishments is the completion of a 102-feet bridge at Avalas on the Karjat-Khopoli road.

Furthermore, apart from the advancements in infrastructure, a significant declaration has been issued concerning the Sinhagad Express. An additional compartment exclusively for women will be incorporated into the Sinhagad Express, with the objective of offering women traveling from Pune to Mumbai an improved level of convenience and security.

A meeting centered on the Mumbai section of the Central Railway, encompassing Lonavala to Panvel, Karjat, and Uran, was presided over by Shiv Sena MP Srirang Barne. Railway Manager Rajnish Kumar Goyal, Additional Manager Akhlaq Ahmed, and others were present. The meeting primarily focused on the ongoing projects in Lonavala, Karjat, Neral, Uran, and Panvel.

MP Barne highlighted the importance of accelerating railway projects and guaranting the punctual finalization of the over-bridge. Furthermore, in response to commuters’ requests, the inclusion of a distinct compartment for women in the Sinhagad Express was deliberated. Authorities have provided reassurance that a specialized coach for women will be incorporated at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station.

Additional progress includes the establishment of shelters on platforms one and two at Neral railway station to enhance passenger convenience. Furthermore, efforts are currently being made to convert Lonavala station into an exemplary facility, considering the notable increase in tourist arrivals. The ongoing development of the Coaching Complex at Panvel Railway Station is also underway, with the completion of one phase already accomplished.

MP Barne has made an announcement regarding the imminent launch of a local train service connecting Panvel and Uran. Additionally, there are plans underway to beautify the railway stations in Lonavala, Karjat, Neral, and Panvel. These efforts are aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers in the Maval constituency and Pune District.
