Pune News: Eight Injured After Mini Bus Overturns Near Monkey Hill In Bhor Ghat
Pune, May 13, 2026: At least eight people were injured after a mini bus overturned near Monkey Hill in the Bhor Ghat section on the old Mumbai-Pune National Highway on Wednesday.
The accident took place near Battery Point close to the HOC Bridge area above the Amrutanjan Bridge while the vehicle was descending from Khandala towards Khopoli. The incident triggered panic at the spot as locals and commuters rushed to assist the injured passengers.
Soon after the accident, teams from IRB, private ambulance services, and local rescue volunteers reached the scene and launched relief operations. The injured passengers were shifted to the Khopoli Municipal Hospital for treatment.
According to preliminary information, six to seven passengers sustained minor injuries. All the injured persons are reportedly residents of Shelke Pada area in Murbad.
The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of Khopoli Police Station and further investigation into the cause of the mishap is currently underway.
