Pune News : President Droupadi Murmu reviews passing out parade; praises woman cadets

Pune: President Droupadi Murmu reviewed the passing out parade of the 145th course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) at Khadakwasla in Pune on Thursday. She commended the participation of the first batch of women cadets in the marching contingent, hailing it as a significant moment.
Murmu conveyed her felicitations to the women cadets and acknowledged the challenges they faced in choosing their desired career path. Approximately 15 women cadets graduated alongside their male peers at the passing out parade.
According to the information provided, a group of 19 female cadets joined the NDA, Khadakwasla last year and are currently in their second year of military and academic training. The NDA is a prestigious tri-services institution that has produced some of the country’s top military officers. As the Supreme Commander of the armed forces, President Murmu extended her congratulations to all the cadets who successfully finished their course during the passing out parade.
She expressed her congratulations to the female cadets who participated in the marching contingent and emphasized the significance of their inclusion. President Murmu also congratulated the foreign cadets from allied countries for successfully finishing their course. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan graced the event with their presence.
