Platform 6 at Pune Railway Station has been experiencing technical issues since Thursday, February 22, 2024, rendering its display board inoperative. Commuters relying on this platform have encountered difficulties, including confusion about their designated platform, leading to delays in reaching their destinations.

The problem was brought to light by a social media user, who noted the malfunctioning indicators on the New Foot Over Bridge (FOB), Platform 6, Pune, as well as TV displays, leaving passengers uncertain about their boarding location.

Railway Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ram Paul Barpagga, clarified that construction work for a Cover Over Platform (COP) is underway on Platform 6. This involves setting up a cover, a feature previously absent on the platform. The construction activity necessitates the temporary shutdown of display boards situated in the vicinity to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both workers and passengers.

Barpagga indicated that the construction work might persist for a few days, during which the affected displays will remain offline.

In light of this, cooperation from the public is sought. Additional display units are available on the platform, and commuters are urged to utilize them in case of uncertainty regarding their departure platform.
