A shop owner in KPCT Mall in Wanowrie has alleged that the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has pasted a wrong confiscation notice on his shop.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dharmendra Verma, Shop Owner, KPCT Mall, Wanowrie said, “There seems to be some mistake in the data entry of the PMC. In the confiscation notice pasted on my shop, the owner & joint owner details are completely different from mine. On the notice, the address is written as Shop No 35, A, B, C wing. So, the wing is also not clear. My shop is in Wing C of the mall & the tax status of my shop is paid till date. Due to this confiscation notice, my tenant, who runs an office of a multinational company in my shop, has decided to vacate the office by the end of this month. Will PMC pay up for the loss I will incur ?

Verma further said “The confiscation notice was pasted on the shop on December 6, 2023, i.e. last month. Before this, the PMC had done the same thing by pasting a notice in the year 2022. I had complained about this to the PMC earlier for which they admitted to their mistake & told me to tear off the notice. However, a confiscation notice has been pasted again.”

Pune Pulse tried to contact PMC officials but couldn’t connect while reporting.
