Pune: PMPML Deploys 800 Extra Buses For Ganeshotsav, Fares To Increase by Rs 5
To facilitate smooth travel during Ganeshotsav, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMP) has announced the deployment of 800 additional buses, dubbed “Yatra Special.” These extra buses will run in two phases to cater to the increased passenger demand.
In the first phase, 168 extra buses will operate on September 9, 10, and 16. An additional 620 buses will be deployed between September 11 and 15, ensuring seamless travel for devotees and commuters.
To manage the increased operational costs, PMP has decided to hike ticket prices by ₹5 for journeys undertaken after the second shift. Additionally, no passes will be allowed after 12 midnight.
To mitigate traffic congestion, PMP buses will take alternative routes when central Pune roads are closed. This strategic planning aims to minimize disruptions and provide efficient transportation.
The deployment of extra buses is a welcome move, and passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly. With this enhanced bus service, PMP aims to provide convenient and efficient transportation to devotees and commuters during the festive period.
PMP’s efforts to streamline transportation during Ganeshotsav are expected to benefit thousands of travelers. Stay updated on PMP’s transportation arrangements for a hassle-free festival experience.
