Pune : PMRDA removes unauthorized structures in Wagholi

On January 30, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) removed several unauthorized structures in Kesnand, Wagholi.

As per information shared by Ramdas Jagtap, Deputy Collector, PMRDA, in the morning 2 unauthorized constructions in Indira City, Kesnand, Wagholi, which encroached an area of about 11,970 sq ft were cleared with the help of a crane. PMRDA officials and staff were present during the operation.

Monika Singh, Joint Commissioner, PMRDA has appealed citizens to refrain from building unauthorized constructions.

On January 18, 2024, around 8,227 square feet of encroachment and unauthorized constructions within the boundary of a 36-meter road from Shedge Vasti at Mahalunge to MIDC Chowk, Mahalunge were removed by Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) –

Due to the encroachments on this road, a lot of traffic congestion occurred in the area. Hence, the action will help smoothen the traffic on the said route.
