Pune City Police Crime Branch took action against a seller from Khadki for selling prohibited manja in the market.
The Pune City Police has taken stern action against manja sellers selling banned nylon manja. The manja available in the market has been found harmful to humans, birds and other animals. Pune Police commissioner Retesh Kumar has informed all Police stations and Crime branch officials to take action against such manja sellers.
As per the instructions, Ganesh Mane, police inspector, Crime branch Unit no 4 took action against such seller on January 7 near Shivaji statue, Juna bazar, Khadki, Pune at Tamboli general center and registered case against him under section IPC section 188 and Environment Protection Act 1986 (section 5).
