Pune residents to join peaceful climate fast in solidarity with Sonam Wangchuk and People of Ladakh

Pune, India: In solidarity with renowned environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk’s call for urgent climate action and sustainable development in Ladakh, residents of Pune will be gathering for a one day peaceful Climate Fast. This event aims to raise awareness about the pressing need for environmental conservation and to show support for Wangchuk’s cause.

Sonam Wangchuk’s climate fast in Ladakh has gained widespread attention, emphasizing the critical need for sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. As a demonstration of solidarity, the residents of Pune will be joining this movement by observing a day-long fast from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on 17 March 2024 at Maruti Mandir, Vetal Tekdi, Pune.

This peaceful demonstration seeks to highlight the importance of collective action in addressing climate change and preserving our planet’s fragile ecosystems.
