People are travelling in large numbers on Friday to enjoy the Republic Day holiday weekend. Therefore, the Pune-Satara highway has been crowded with vehicles since this morning. Long queues of vehicles have formed for about three kilometers from Khed-Shivapur toll booth on Pune Satara Lane.

Republic Day and its accompanying Saturday and Sunday are holidays. That is why people are travelling to enjoy these successive holidays. That is why the number of vehicles going to places like Konkan and Goa on Pune-Satara highway from this morning is huge. From the Khed-Shivapur toll booth on the Pune-Satara highway to the Kondhanpur junction, there are queues of vehicles for about three kilometers.

The road was crowded with vehicles since Friday morning. After eleven in the morning, the rush of vehicles increased. Vehicles used to take around fifteen to twenty minutes to cover the distance from Kondhanpur Phata to Khed-Shivapur Toll Gate.
