Pune: State Excise Department Seizes Over 11 Lakh Worth of Goods in Vadgaon Sheri
Pune, 18 May, 2024 : The Regional Flying Squad of the State Excise Department conducted a raid on a shop, G-55, F Plaza Building, near Brahma Suncity in Vadgaon Sheri, and seized goods worth ₹11,54,525, including foreign- made liquor.
The seized items include 26 sealed bottles of various brands and capacities of high-quality imported foreign liquor, a Honda Amaze car, a Honda Activa two-wheeler, and a mobile phone, amounting to a total value of ₹11,54,525. One person has been arrested in connection with the crime, and a search for other involved individuals is ongoing.
The raid involved the Regional Flying Squad, Pune Division, Pune, with the team led by Excise Inspector Vasant Kausadikar. Further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector VM Mane under the guidance of Inspector Narendra Thorat.
The State Excise Department has urged the public to contact the office of the Regional Flying Squad, Pune Division, Pune, with any information related to illegal liquor production, transportation, and sales.
