On 16 December (Saturday), a mega scale ‘Southern Star Vijay Run 2023’ will be organised at Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), Pune by Headquarters Southern Command to commemorate the 53rd Vijay Diwas.
Southern Star Vijay Run 2023 is Run conducted in honour of wounded soldiers & bravehearts of the Indian Armed Forces who made supreme sacrifices in 1971 war. This event invites participation from all walks of life and symbolises the combined solidarity of soldiers & civilians towards Martyrs of 1971 Operations.
This is a unique opportunity for the citizens to ‘Run for Soldiers & Run with Soldiers’ in Southern Star Vijay Run 2023 which flags off at historic 190 years vintage Pune Race Course. Runners will tread the same path as horse racers, enjoying the lush green surroundings breathtakingly scenic nature, forest and migratory birds.
Every registered runner will get Dry Fit Run T-Shirt, Finisher Badge, Nutritious Breakfast, Hydration pack & Medical Support. The event will also provide one in a lifetime opportunity to the people from all walks of life to rub shoulders with soldiers and also experience the military way of life.
Distance & Age Category:-
53 Hours Ultra Run – Professional runners includes Solo & Relay (2/3/4).
• 12.5 Kilometres Run – Open category for Male & Female runners (18 years & above).
• 6 Kilometres Run – Special category for Armed Forces Veterans.
• 5 Kilometres Run – Open Male & Female runners including Students.
Prizes. Cash prizes for 12.5 Kilometres & 5 Kilometres categories & medals for various other categories.
Registration. Invite is open to all civilians. Registration are being done online on website www.runbuddies.club with registration fees of ₹ 100/-.
