Pune: Traffic changes announced due to vote counting for Lok Sabha elections near Balewadi stadium. Click to learn more.

The counting of votes for the Maval Lok Sabha will be held at Balewadi Stadium on June 4 where a large number of representatives from various political parties will be present. Thus., for smooth movement of traffic the following traffic changes are being made by the traffic department of Pimpri Chinchwad police. 

Road in front of the Balewadi Stadium Main Gate will be blocked for all vehicles on June 4 from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm from Uttam Sweets Chowk to Mahalunge Police Chowki.

Alternate Route 1:

• Vehicles coming from Chande Nande and Mahalunge villages will take a right turn at Uttam Sweet Chowk and proceed from Mahalunge Police Chowk to Radha Chowk towards their destination.

Alternative Route 2:  

• Vehicles coming from Radha Chowk will take a left turn at Mahalunge Police Chowki and proceed to Mahalunge Village, Chande-Nande and onwards to the desired destination.

Heavy vehicle access to Mahalunge Gaon to Radha Chowk and Radha Chowk to Mahalunge Gaon will be closed on June 4.

Alternate Route: 

• Heavy vehicles coming from Chande-Nande will take a left turn from Godrej Circle and proceed to Hinjewadi via Maan and heavy vehicles coming from Baner Road and National Highway will take a right turn from Radha Chowk and proceed to Hinjewadi and beyond via Wakad Naka.

Parking 1 – The road between Mahalunge Police Chowki and Uttam Sweet (Puneri Sweet) Chowk has been reserved for the parking of Mahavikas Aghadi workers. Arrangements have been made for parking the vehicles of the Mahavikas Aghadi workers coming to the place from Radha Chowk on the left side in the open space behind the Khandoba Mandir.

Parking 2 – Service Road starting from Orchid Hotel Highway Gate is being closed for traffic till Mula River Bridge and this road is being reserved for Grand-alliance workers to stay and parking arrangements have also been made for the workers on that road.

Parking 3 – Parking for candidates of other parties and their workers will be in Secondary School Mahalunge.
