Today, an on-foot inspection of the Ch. Shivajinagar Hinjawadi Metro and University flyover project, spanning from Civil Court to Pashan Road, was conducted to assess its progress. The inspection was led by MLA of Shivaji Nagar Constituency Siddharth Shirole, accompanied by Yogesh Mhase, Commissioner of PMRDA, Additional CP of Pune City Police Manoj Patil, and officials from various departments, contractors, and agencies involved in the project.

During the inspection, several failures were identified, particularly concerning public safety, public convenience, and significant delays in the project’s timeline. The contractors have missed the deadline for road completion, which has been deemed unacceptable.

As an MLA, and in coordination with the new commissioner of PMRDA, feedback was gathered from all parties involved. A stern warning was issued, emphasizing the necessity for immediate action to resolve the issues affecting public safety and convenience. This project is vital for Pune, and addressing traffic and safety concerns promptly is crucial.
