Sambhaji Sadashiv Zende (Ex-IAS) has been actively campaigning across the Purandar-Haveli constituency on the Nationalist Congress Party and MahaYuti alliance ticket. Zende faces Indian National Congress’s Sanjay Jagtap and Vijay Shivtare in this election.

The Purandar-Haveli constituency is divided into rural and urban segments, with most areas falling under rural jurisdiction. However, rapidly growing urban zones like Undri, Pisoli, Autadewadi, and adjacent areas are experiencing severe civic issues, including inadequate water supply, drainage problems, limited public amenities, and high property tax bills.

As a retired IAS officer with 37 years of service, Zende dedicated his post-retirement life to public service, addressing local issues and initiating social and educational programs with the support of various trusts and volunteers. He urges voters to support him by voting for the “clock” symbol.

Palkhi Route: For the Hadapsar-Zendewadi section of the Palkhi route, which required permissions as it passes through forest areas, Zende expedited approvals within six months. The project was inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Baramati-Jejuri-Saswad Road: Recognizing the significance of this route for Purandar’s development, Zende pushed consistently with PMRDA officials, leading to the successful completion of the road.
