Pune Weather Update: Rain Intensity Subsides, Yellow Alert Issued For Several DistrictsÂ
The Indian Meteorological Department has announced that the intensity of rain in Maharashtra is likely to decrease, bringing relief to the state after days of heavy downpour. Although some areas received light to moderate rains in the past few days, the department predicts reduced rainfall in the state. The rain intensity has subsided, and some places in the state have received light and moderate rains in the last two to three days. However, isolated areas in Satara and Pune districts may still experience heavy rain, prompting a yellow alert.
Pune, in particular, remains on high alert, with the Indian Meteorological Department predicting the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas. Citizens are advised to remain cautious and plan their activities accordingly, especially during peak hours. The yellow alert issued for Pune district indicates a need for vigilance, and residents should stay updated with the latest weather forecasts.
Vidarbha is witnessing cloudy weather with occasional rain, leading to temperature fluctuations. The region is expected to experience moderate rains with gusty winds. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alerts for several districts, including Jalgaon, Nashik, Nandurbar, Dhule, and Ahmednagar in North Maharashtra.
Marathwada is also expected to receive rain, with yellow alerts issued for Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, and Hingoli districts. The South Konkan region, comprising Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts, has been warned of heavy rain.
The yellow alert indicates a need for caution, but not severe disruption. Citizens are advised to remain vigilant and plan their activities accordingly.
In contrast, summer temperatures are rising in the state. Alibaug recorded the highest temperature on Wednesday morning at 33.1 degrees Celsius. The onset of rain had brought temporary respite from the heat, but temperatures are now increasing.
