Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Pune’s pride is the first Museum in India to opt for Metaverse route

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum (RKDM), Pune and BharatVerse entered into an MoU – RKDM Metaverse experience accessible to users through head mounted devices, mobile phones, web browsers, etc.

BharatVerse, India’s first metaverse platform created to showcase the glory of Bharat with use of new age technologies, has entered a historic and important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pune’s Pride the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum (RDKM), a prestigious institution engaged in preservation and presentation of India’s multifaceted cultural heritage through its marvellous collection of every day art and crafts of India.

The MoU will establish a collaborative association between RDKM and BharatVerse for the creation and feature enhancement of a Metaverse experience for RDKM.

BharatVerse will be responsible for the design, development, and feature enhancement of the metaverse experience. RDKM would provide the Digital Content. BharatVerse envisions to create a digital twin of places of special interest so that the same can be experienced by people across the globe and help increase the promotion of such places to increase the in person visit of places such as RDKM.

The Metaverse experience will be hosted on BharatVerse’s platform and will be accessible to users through various devices such as head mounted devices, mobile phones, web browsers, etc. and to begin with the existing 3 D Virtual Tour created by the Museum with the help of noted ophthalmologist Dr. Shreekant Kelkar will be hosted and showcased by BharatVerse on its platform.

Rohit Srivastwa, Serial entrepreneur, and founder director at BharatVerse, said, “BharatVerse is an attempt to bring our glorious BHARAT onto the metaverse. In simple words, we envision BharatVerse as a collaboratively built virtual Bharat where every square metre of the real Bharat can be showcased as it exists. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum certainly deserves the use of Metaverse Platform to reach up to Masses and Classes worldwide, Rohit added further”.

Sudhanva Ranade, Director of the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum said “Under the BharatVerse initiative, we will be together creating a Metaverse experience for RDKM so that people can explore the Museum from across the globe and plan to visit the Museum when they come to Pune. We will provide immersive experience of metaverse so that virtual visitors can get a feeling of being present in real-time inside the Museum,”.

Keeping mind this objective the RDKM has signed MoU with BharatVerse, which am sure would turn out to be a landmark decision helping the Museum to grow exponentially, Ranade further added.
