Railway passengers allege delay of Pune-Daund train, citing wheel breakdown

The railway passengers have alleged that the Pune-Daund train has been delayed due to wheel breakdown & damage.

As per further information shared by Abhishek Sonavale, Station Consultative Committee Member, Kedgaon Station, on 28/02/24 Pune-Daund bound DEMU train rake’s wheel broke down & damaged at Loni railway station due to broken wheel it’s causing severe distress to the passengers and this is happening frequently. 

Due to the delay of this train, students, workers, professionals, laborers are suffering. Even now the railway administration should start Suburban EMU Local Service between Pune-Daund. Due to such technical problems of DEMU/MEMU, there is a strong need for EMU to be run in the Pune-Daund Section, added Sonavale.

Akshay Tekawade, SCC Member Central Railway, said “Due to Frequent failure of DEMUs/MEMUs should Commuters commit journeys by Railways or no need to be asked to the Railway Administration. Many times, we have complained to Higher & concerned authorities no action has been taken on this.”
