RJ Sangram Khopade, a popular media personality and a socio-political activist from Pune is embarking on a Pune Jodo Nyay Yatra. The first leg of this would be on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday, 3rd of March.

As per further information shared by RJ Sangram Khopade,

“Pune, a city with a rich history, dating back to its founding by Rajmata Jijabai, is currently facing fragmentation, not unlike the rest of Indian society. Through this yatra, RJ Sangram Khopade aims to unite Punekars under the Indian National Congress’ and INDIA alliance’s joint umbrella to address our collective issues.”

RJ Sangram further shares “This city has contributed vastly to the politics, culture, science, technology, literature, art, sports, and education of our beautiful nation over the last 400 years, even offering protection to the Delhi Sultanate and spilling blood in the defence of our motherland at Panipat. However, today, we have no representation in Delhi. Our MP passed away a year ago and we have had no elections since. In fact, we do not even have a Mayor or indeed municipal elections for the past 18 months. We are without effective leadership, and RJ Sangram Khopade has decided to raise his hand and be counted.”

RJ Sangram further shared “In this public outreach program, RJ Sangram Khopade will be visiting and holding small meetings to begin the conversation about the state of the city with its stakeholders, that is, Punekars themselves. Parts of the yatra will be on foot and parts, using private and public transport. We invite you to come and walk with us. It would give us, and the people of Pune, great strength.”
