In a recent discussion with the Kerala news platform Media One, Vishwanath Samson conveyed his disappointment regarding what he perceives as a decade of missed opportunities for his son.

“There are 3-4 people who wasted 10 years of my son’s vital career…captains like Dhoni ji, Virat ji, Rohit ji and coach Dravid ji,”.These four people wasted 10 years of my son’s life but the more they hurt him, the stronger Sanju came out of the crisis,” says Sanju’s father.
Samson’s father not only expressed his discontent with the current and past leadership of the Indian team but also directed his criticism towards former cricketer Kris Srikkanth. Vishwanath alleged that Srikkanth downplayed Sanju’s accomplishments, especially highlighting his first T20I century against Bangladesh.
