Special Passport Drive For Normal Applicants Announced In Pimpri-Chinchwad On April 11
Pune, April 7, 2026:The Regional Passport Office, Pune under the Ministry of External Affairs has announced a Special Passport Drive for applicants under the Normal category. The drive will be conducted on April 11, 2026, at the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The initiative aims to provide earlier appointment availability and enhance the overall delivery of passport services. Officials stated that the drive is exclusively for Normal passport applicants and will not include Tatkaal or walk-in applications.
Applicants are required to ensure that all documents are complete and accurate as per the prescribed Passport Rules. Authorities have advised applicants to carefully review the guidelines available on the Passport India website before booking appointments. Incomplete or incorrect documentation may result in rejection of applications at the centre.
As per provisions under the Passports Act, 1967 and the Passports Rules, 1980, the Passport Authority reserves the right to verify applicant credentials and request additional documents if necessary.
To participate in the special drive, applicants must apply online through the Passport India portal or the mPassport Seva mobile app under the Normal scheme. After completing the payment process, applicants can schedule their appointment by selecting the Pimpri-Chinchwad POPSK location for the notified date.
The Regional Passport Office has reiterated that only pre-booked Normal category applicants will be accommodated during this special drive.
