Star Air Reinstates Direct Kolhapur to Tirupati Flight Service

Following a hiatus, the direct flight service from Kolhapur to Tirupati has returned, much to the joy of passengers eager for efficient travel options. Initially launched by a private passenger airline but discontinued later, this vital air link has been reestablished by Star Air Company, eliciting a positive response from travelers.

The resumption sees flights operating thrice a week – on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays – providing convenient options for those planning their journeys. Departing from Kolhapur Airport at 11 am, the flight touches down in Tirupati by 12 pm. The return leg departs from Tirupati at 12.35 pm, arriving back in Kolhapur at 1.45 pm on the same day.

Nandkumar Gurav, the manager at Star Air Company, expressed satisfaction with the initial response, citing an impressive 80% booking rate for April. He emphasized that the flight services commence from the new terminal building at Kolhapur Airport, contributing to a seamless travel experience for passengers.

Anil Shinde, the director of Kolhapur Airport, hailed the recommencement of the Kolhapur to Tirupati flight service, emphasizing its importance for regional connectivity. With a flight duration of just one hour and 10 minutes, travelers can now enjoy swift journeys between the two destinations.

Aditya Mohite from Kolhapur expressed his delight at the convenience offered by the direct flight service, particularly for those visiting Tirupati Balaji for darshan. With the option of air travel, passengers like Mohite anticipate smoother and more expedient journeys to their destination.
