Pune: In a tragic turn of events, three individuals lost their lives during the Ganpati immersion procession in Pune. The deceased have been identified as Nayan Dhoke (27), Vishal Ballal (35), and an unidentified 45-year-old man. The fatalities occurred near Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, and Kasba Ganpati Mandal, respectively. The exact cause of death remains unknown, and the bodies have been sent to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem examination.

In another incident, Sandeep Kadam (37) from Parbhani district collapsed while dancing during an immersion procession and was declared dead at the hospital.
Additionally, in Bhandara district, 30 to 40 women were injured when a roof collapsed as they gathered to watch the immersion. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported in that incident. The injured were taken to a primary health center for treatment.

Further investigations are underway to determine the causes behind these unfortunate incidents.
