INSISTS HIM TO RESOLVE WATER AND TAX ISSUES

A delegation of city residents met Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde while he was on a visit to Pune on August 2.

Undri was earlier a gram panchayat and has been struggling for drinking water supply. Sadly even after it was brought within the limits of Pune Municipal Corporation, the problem has not been resolved. Despite paying taxes, residents don’t get any services.

Dr Ashwin Khilare, president, Undri Residents Association said, “We have been asking for basic necessities for a long time. We have no water supply, the roads have been badly planned, there is no drainage line and no waste management projects. The property taxes have been hiked but there are no public amenities. We have submitted a letter to the chief minister Eknath Shinde in this regard and are hopeful that he would resolve our issues.”

The residents meet him at the Council Hall in Pune where they apprised him of the situation faced by the residents.

Members of Nyati County Residents Forum (NCRF) from Mohamadwadi also informed that they had planned to submit a memorandum to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde about their area problems. The memorandums submitted to the CM also demanded a big jogging park and garden, widening of existing roads and removal of encroachments. Residents of Nyati Esteban Sanjiv Chimnani and Suresh Bhirwandekar met the senior officials at the Pune divisional commissioner office during CM’s visit who has assured to help Undri residents.
