As a part of the ongoing de-clutter and reuse efforts, residents of Aundh Baner and Balewadi participated in the V Collect drive organised by SWaCH on October 3. More than 3 tonnes of waste including clothes, toys, plastic, bags, footwear, electronic items were given away by residents from the area. This V Collect drive was held at six locations in Aundh Baner and Balewadi areas.

Smita Rajabali who heads the V Collect drive at SWaCH told Pune Pulse that the drive received an overwhelming response as they know that this gives new life to all items they have no use for. These items will be sorted and made accessible to the urban poor and environment friendly citizens. It takes space to sort through all these items and we are always open to spaces in different parts of the city so that we can reduce transportation and logistical costs as well as optimize reuse and repurposing
