Vadgaon Sheri Horror: FIR Filed Against Multiple Assailants for Brutal Attack on Residents

On December 24, a terrifying incident occurred in Vadgaon Sheri when a resident Saurabh Padle filed FIR against several people for vicious assault at the Chandan Nagar police station.

The accused—Anuj Yadav, Harikesh Chavan, Akash Pawar, Amol Chorghade, Akshat Tapkir, Rahul Barvase, and others—are currently booked under a number of sections of the Maharashtra Police Act, the Arms Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse,

The incident happened at approximately 10.45 p.m. on the road that connects Anand Park and Vadgaon Sheri, close to Pawan Super Market. An altercation resulted from complainant Saurabh Padle approaching Akash Pawar to resolve a dispute with his friend Hrishikesh. After Anuj Yadav allegedly slashed Hrishikesh with an iron weapon, Hrishikesh was savagely stabbed in the head, wrist, and right hand by Pawar. In addition, the attackers threw bricks and stones at him.

Yadav attacked Padle and his two friends with a chopper when they tried to step in. Padle suffered injuries, most notably to his head. With weapons drawn and threatening onlookers, the attackers left the scene, terrorizing everyone and pledging to stop anyone from getting involved.

Several charges are listed in the FIR, including those related to the Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act as well as IPC sections 307, 326, 324, 143, 144, 147, 148, 149. Further investigation is going on.
