Maharashtra Weather Update: Weather conditions across Maharashtra are undergoing a noticeable shift, with winter gradually weakening and temperatures beginning to rise. Due to a low-pressure system forming over the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for unseasonal rain in six districts of the state.

The districts under yellow alert include Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Parbhani in Marathwada, along with Dhule, Nandurbar and Jalgaon in North Maharashtra. Light to moderate rainfall is likely at isolated locations in these areas on January 27 and 28.

Regional Weather Forecast for January 27

Konkan Region (Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg):
Light morning fog is expected, followed by partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures are likely to range between 28°C and 32°C, while minimum temperatures may stay between 18°C and 22°C. Isolated light showers cannot be ruled out. Coastal areas may experience moderate to strong winds.

West Maharashtra (Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur):
Weather will remain largely dry, with a mild chill in the morning and warmer conditions during the day. Maximum temperatures are expected between 29°C and 33°C, while minimum temperatures may range from 14°C to 18°C.

North Maharashtra (Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar):
Morning fog and cloudy skies are likely, with rainfall expected at a few places. Maximum temperatures will range from 28°C to 32°C, and minimum temperatures from 15°C to 19°C. A gradual rise in temperatures indicates a decline in winter intensity.

Marathwada (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur):
Cloudy conditions will prevail across the region. Light rain is likely at isolated locations between January 27 and 28. Maximum temperatures may range between 29°C and 31°C, while minimum temperatures are expected between 16°C and 20°C. Morning fog is also likely.

Vidarbha (Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli):
The region will witness mostly dry to partly cloudy weather. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 30°C to 34°C, and minimum temperatures from 17°C to 21°C. While winter chill is easing, isolated light showers are possible in some areas, along with morning fog.

Overall Outlook

January 27 is expected to mark the final phase of winter in Maharashtra. While mornings may still feel cool in some regions, daytime temperatures will remain warm, signaling a clear seasonal transition. Citizens are advised to stay updated with local weather alerts, especially in districts under the yellow alert.
