In an unusual incident outside the Deputy Commissioner of Police’s office in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur area, a woman named Sangeeta staged a dramatic protest by lying down on the road and demanding that the police arrange hotel accommodation for her.

Sangeeta, holding her dog, attracted significant attention as she screamed, “Mujhe koi nahi chahiye (I don’t want anyone),” while another woman attempted to persuade her to stand up. The protest caused a commotion, blocking a portion of the road during the evening rush hour and drawing a crowd of onlookers.

A police officer worked to manage the traffic while another woman urged Sangeeta to leave, but she firmly responded, “You go. I don’t want to see anyone.”

When questioned by the police, Sangeeta explained that she had been staying at a hotel in Mahipalpur but was now being denied further accommodation. She insisted that the police should make arrangements for her to continue staying at a hotel.

Upon investigating the matter with the hotel staff, the police discovered that Sangeeta had been residing there for an extended period without paying her bill. To address the situation, the police are currently providing counseling to Sangeeta.

The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, highlighting the lengths to which individuals may go to seek assistance and the challenges faced by law enforcement in managing such situations.
