Bridge connecting Aundh to Sangvi to open soon

The newly constructed 22 metre wide bridge on Mula river that connects Sangvi from Aundh will soon be open for commuters in March 2022.

According to Indrabhan Randive, special projects, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), “The bridge is almost ready except for tarring of the road and the clearing of debris, thus making the bridge clear to be operational in March.”

Although date has not been set, this bridge is a crucial access point for many working in pimpri chinchwad area.
The work on the bridge began last year after demolishing the already existing bridge to develop this 22 metre wide bridge with both PMC and PCMC creating 4 lane access roads on either side.

The bridge that was estimated at Rs 35 crores has been slightly delayed, said PMC officials stating unavailblity of tar, but now the work is almost done and ready for commuters.

With this bridge opening up, it will be the thrid access point between Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad for commuters.
