Pune Police Crack Down On Child Abuse: 21-Year-Old Arrested

A shocking incident of sexual assault has come to light in Daund city, where three minor boys have been accused of molesting children who took camel rides with them. The accused, who offered camel rides near the Daund-Gopalwadi road on September 16, allegedly took the children to isolated areas and assaulted them.

The matter came to light when a young girl reported the incident to her relatives after returning from the camel ride. The girl’s family immediately searched for the accused and brought him to the Daund police station. Further investigation revealed two more minors were involved in similar assaults in another part of the city.

According to Officer Bapu Rote of Daund Police Station, the accused minors would lure children with camel rides, then take them to secluded areas and molest them. The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and sections of the Indian Judicial Code.

Police Inspector Santosh Doke is overseeing the investigation, with Assistant Inspector Nagnath Patil conducting further inquiries. The swift action by the police and the girl’s family has brought attention to the need for increased vigilance and safety measures to protect children from such heinous crimes.

This disturbing incident serves as a reminder of the importance of child safety and the need for parents and authorities to remain vigilant.
