Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital after 12 days of treatment. Dr Pratit Samdani, who treated the actor, confirmed that his family decided to continue his care at home. The discharge took place around 7.30 am on Wednesday.
“Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him treatment at home,” Dr Samdani told news agency.
The 88-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital on October 30. Initially, family sources mentioned it was for a routine checkup. However, his condition required extended medical attention over the following days.

During his hospital stay, false reports about Dharmendra’s death circulated on social media, causing distress among fans. His daughters Esha Deol and Hema Malini quickly responded to shut down these rumors.
Esha Deol issued a statement saying, “My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”
Sunny Deol’s team also released a statement addressing the false claims. They said, “Sir is recovering and responding to treatment, let’s all pray for his good health and long life.” The statement brought relief to fans who had been worried about the actor’s health.
