The India Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert across Maharashtra as temperatures continue to rise steadily, with hot and dry weather expected to dominate in the coming days.

According to forecasts, minimum temperatures across the state are likely to range between 22°C and 25°C, while maximum temperatures may climb between 35°C and 40°C on April 12. The overall weather pattern is expected to remain dry, intensifying the impact of heat across multiple regions.

Region-wise Weather Forecast

Konkan Region:
The Konkan region will experience hot and humid conditions. Coastal areas are likely to see high humidity levels, making the heat feel more intense. Skies may remain partly cloudy, but no rainfall has been forecast. Temperatures are expected to range between 24°C to 26°C (minimum) and 32°C to 35°C (maximum).

Marathwada:
In Marathwada, dry and hot weather will persist, with increasing solar intensity likely to aggravate heat conditions. Some areas may experience heatwave-like situations. Temperatures could range between 23°C to 25°C (minimum) and 37°C to 40°C (maximum).

Vidarbha:
The Vidarbha region is expected to witness the most severe heat, with temperatures rising sharply during afternoon hours. The risk of heatstroke is significantly higher, and residents have been advised to remain cautious. Minimum temperatures may range between 24°C to 26°C, while maximum temperatures could soar between 38°C and 42°C.

North Maharashtra:
North Maharashtra will continue to face dry and hot conditions, with high daytime temperatures likely to cause discomfort. The region may record minimum temperatures between 23°C to 25°C and maximum temperatures between 37°C to 40°C.

West Maharashtra:
In Western Maharashtra, the heat will persist, although light winds in some areas may offer slight relief. Temperatures are expected to range between 22°C to 24°C (minimum) and 35°C to 38°C (maximum).
