The Maharashtra assembly election voting for 2024 is being conducted today, 20/11/2024, with voting and the counting process scheduled for 23/11/2024 across Maharashtra, including Pimpri-Chinchwad city. The jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate includes eight assembly constituencies: 204 Maval, 206 Pimpri, 207 Bhosari, 205 Chinchwad, 203 Bhor, 208 Vadgaon Sheri, 211 Khadakwasla, and 197 Khed Alandi.  

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey has maintained strict vigilance over criminal activities and implemented necessary measures to ensure a smooth election process. He has issued a warning of stern action against anyone attempting to disrupt the process.  

Vinaykumar Choubey exercised his right to vote at the Zilla Parishad Primary School, Gahunje, and appealed to all voters to fulfill their democratic duty by voting.

On election day, a large police force has been deployed in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate area. The Commissioner visited key polling stations and strong rooms in Maval Constituency, including Veer Jijamata Primary Girls’ School, Sant Dnyaneshwar Primary School No. 6, and Nutan Mahavidyalaya, Talegaon Dabhade, and issued instructions to officers and personnel.  

He also inspected polling stations in Bhosari Constituency (207), including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Secondary School and PCMC Public Primary School No. 13, as well as Chinchwad Constituency (205), such as Fattechand Jain School and Junior College, ensuring adequate security and smooth conduct of voting.  

Present during these visits were Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey, Deputy Commissioners of Police Vishal Gaikwad and Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioners of Police Sunil Kuhade and Sachin Hire, and Senior Police Inspectors Pradip Raynawar and Vishwanath Chavan.
