Maharashtra Assembly Polls: Defamation Case Filed In Kondhwa Police Station Over Social Media Post Targeting Political Candidate
Pune: Parge Nagar Residents Raise Civic Concerns In Meeting With Kondhwa Police Officials
Pune: A defamation case has been registered by the Kondhwa Police against an individual for allegedly spreading defamatory content on social media. The complaint was filed by Prashant Sudamrao Jagtap (47), a resident of Anusaya Nivas, Wanwadi.
The accused, identified as Azhar Tamboli and his associates, reportedly disseminated misleading and defamatory messages targeting Jagtap, who is the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) candidate contesting from the Hadapsar Assembly constituency.
Jagtap alleged in his complaint that the defamatory posts were intended to mislead the public and damage his reputation during the election campaign. Police Inspector Bendre is leading the investigation into the matter.
