Frustrated over long congestion in Worli, a Mumbai woman confronted Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan during a political rally, triggering fresh debate over commuter inconvenience and VIP culture.

A Mumbai woman has gone viral after openly confronting Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan over a major traffic jam allegedly caused by a political rally in Worli. Reports said the road blockade left several commuters stranded for a long time.

The incident reportedly took place during a BJP-led Jan Aakrosh rally from Jamboori Maidan to the NSCI Dome in Worli. Heavy traffic congestion was reported in the area during the march.

One woman, said to be on her way to pick up her child, stepped out of her vehicle and walked into the rally route to confront leaders and police personnel. In the viral video, she is heard angrily demanding that the road be cleared.

What The Woman Said

“Yaha se iss traffic ko hatao.”

“What is wrong with you?”

“There are hundreds of people waiting.”

“There is an empty ground there!”

These remarks were reportedly directed at the organisers while she questioned why the gathering was being held on an active road instead of nearby open space.

Girish Mahajan’s Reaction

According to reports, Girish Mahajan later said the woman was angry because of the traffic situation and officials had tried to calm her down.

He reportedly said:

“We tried to explain peacefully.”

“She threw a bottle at the rally, that was not right.”

He also said such incidents can happen during marches.

Why The Video Went Viral

The clip spread rapidly online, with many users saying the woman represented the frustration of ordinary commuters stuck because of political events and road closures.

“There is a single women who is seen fighting for her right but the thing many of them didn’t even realise that it is their right to protect their time why to waste unnecessary time in traffic and most importantly the literate police is there to protect illiterate politicians,” said one user.

“Absolute queen. We see every now and then we are waiting in traffic to go to work because some politician wants his convoy to pass freely. I dream of the day all the people get pissed off and pelt some stones on them , bitch take a helicopter we have work to do,” said another.

“This is the true warrior woman. She has nothing to do with your selfish politics. She’s in pain, that’s why she’s expressing herself. Salute to this sister’s boldness. But the blind devotees have completely lost the ability to think. They’re just living their lives like sheep,” commented another user.

The episode has again raised questions about balancing political rallies with public convenience in crowded cities like Mumbai.
