NDRF Pune takes all security measures at Nilwande dam for safety during PM Modi’s Jal Pujan

Pune: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Pune’s committed team was sent to Nilwande Dam as a proactive precautionary and preparatory action to guarantee the area’s safety and security during the auspicious Jalpujan ceremony done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Pankaj Chaudhary, Inspector, NDRF Pune said, “We were deployed at Nilwande Dam some days ago to ensure utmost safety & security during PM Modi’s Jalpujan ceremony. With the help of SPG (Special Protection Group) officers, we did a detailed inspection of the entire dam. As we cannot walk inside the water, the divers of the NDRF team helped the SPG to inspect the dam by going deep down inside the dam. The other safety aspects around the dam were also properly inspected.”

As per further information, the NDRF team performed duty under the vigilant supervision of Pramod Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant, and was executed seamlessly under the able command of Inspectors Yogesh Sharma and Pankaj Chaudhary.

The NDRF team’s presence exemplified their commitment to safeguarding the event and the civil administration, ensuring a smooth and secure environment. Their dedication and efficiency in managing potential risks during such an important occasion is commendable and reinforces the NDRF’s role as a vital guardian in times of need.
