Pimpri Chinchwad’s Waste to Wonder Park

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)’s Gyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Garden is a unique park that is built entirely from scrap materials and recycled waste. The garden is located in Jagtap Dairy, Pimple Saudagar.

The park features a range of sculptures, structures, and installations, all made from materials that would have otherwise ended up in landfills. From old car parts to discarded pipes, the park’s creators have turned waste into wonder, demonstrating the potential for creative and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.

The park is open to the public from Friday to Thursday, with morning hours from 9 am to 12 pm and evening hours from 4 pm to 6 pm. Visitors can explore the park’s various sections and learn about the importance of sustainable living, waste reduction, and environmental conservation.

“PCMC’s Waste to Wonder Park is a step towards building more sustainable communities and preserving the environment for future generations. The park’s creators hope that it will inspire others to rethink waste and look for ways to repurpose materials creatively,” said Subhash Ingle, head gardening department PCMC.
